Shop local. Eat local. Support local – Halton’s Pumpkins to Pastries Trail is back!

P2PTrail1Fall is here and that means it’s time for Halton’s annual Pumpkins to Pastries Trail! This year’s Trail runs from September 18 through to October 31 and we have a great line-up of local vendors who are excited to showcase their local produce, products and experiences. Residents and visitors are invited to experience local food, products and events and to explore the connections between farms, markets, restaurants and shops here in Halton. Participating Trail vendors will be partnering to offer local, seasonal offerings – such as delicious pumpkin-themed sweets and harvest-themed events.

I’m excited to let you know that this year you can find the Pumpkins to Pastries Trail map and new features on the OneHalton App! Residents are invited to download the app and use it to find participating vendors and map locations. You can also find coupons from your favourite shops and restaurants – they may even entice you to try something new!

P2PTrail2And, back for another year is the popular Pumpkins to Pastries Trail Selfie Contest! Simply snap a selfie on the Trail and post the picture on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #p2ptrail to enter for a chance to win a prize basket of fantastic local offerings. Prizes will be awarded weekly and your picture could be featured on Halton’s Trail gallery. Visit for contest rules and details.

Helping local business and agriculture thrive

Not only does the P2P Trail showcase local vendors, but it also provides a way to support Halton small businesses. Halton Region is committed to helping local entrepreneurs succeed. Through programs like the P2P Trail, we offer a venue to help promote small, local businesses and a way for these businesses to showcase what they do best.

The P2P Trail also gives participants a glimpse into how agriculture is thriving in Halton. We’ve also teamed up with local libraries this year to promote the Trail and teach our young community members about local growers, and why supporting local is good for all.

From innovative tasting experiences to on-farm stores and markets, Halton’s P2P Trail truly has something for everyone.
